Attractiveness / Build Quality

This thing is pretty awesome looking, there is no denying that. From the first time that you set your eyes on the box of this new mouse, you will know that something impressive is inside, waiting to be released.

The lighted pedestal charging station is connected to your PC or Mac via a USB cable and the actual mouse itself is cordless, though it does have the ability to use the cord if you want to charge the mouse while using it at the same time. The charging station has illuminated blue runes around the outside of it, while the mouse itself has matching blue illumination on it, with a picture of the World of Warcraft world map focused on the Maelstrom. The base feels solid and well designed. The mouse itself also feels well designed, and comfortable for extended use.

Words really do not do this mouse justice. It is probably safe to say that it is the awesomest looking mouse that we have had the opportunity to play with.

Customization

The wireless WoW mouse has 11 programmable buttons, 10 of which are bindable while the 11th is for your CPI settings. These bindable buttons, when combined with the powerful drag and drop ease of the SteelSeries software allows you to access to bind over 130 preset game commands or create custom macro combinations of your very own. This could be the difference in killing the latest raid boss that your team is stuck on, or getting your spells of a split second faster than the enemy players in PVP Arenas.

You also have the ability to customize the illumination. You can choose from between 4 levels of intensity that include low, medium, high and off. You even have the ability to control the pulsation with the options for steady, slow, medium and fast. These added customization options help you really make the mouse look the way you want it to, from a bright shining attention grabber to an illumination-free mouse to guarantee no distractions while you’re raiding.

Performance

This mouse offers great performance, with an easy glide, easily accessible bindable buttons and the free SteelSeries macro software. No performance issues crept up for us during our testing phases with the mouse. The wireless connection worked great and the ability to plug the mouse in directly to keep playing while charging your battery at the same time is definitely a great feature for anyone who carries on extended play sessions or maybe forgets to charge the mouse when they finish using it.

Conclusion

The SteelSeries wireless World of Warcraft mouse is a quality peripheral with good build quality and off the chart visual appeal. Not only will this mouse impress your friends when they see it, the 11 programmable buttons combined with the SteelSeries software delivers performance to meet the needs of any MMO gamer.
